How to Make Gold in the World of Warcraft
I was "listening" to a conversation in the general chat in the Eversong Woods the other day. The topic was regarding how hard it is to make money (gold) in the World of Warcraft. My first reaction was, "WTF???" Making gold in WoW is pretty easy if you're willing to invest a little time and effort.
Buy and Sell Your Way to More WoW Gold
if you watched the above videos then you know that one trick is to buy low, either from vendors or right off the Auction House, and sell high. This is one of the ways to avoid endlessly grinding away for herbs or ores or skins or killing monsters hoping something drops. There are a number of vendors throughout the World of Warcraft that sell items in limited quantity, or there's only one vendor that sells it, or there's only one vendor for the item AND the item is limited (such as the throat piercer knives, from a vendor in Tranquillen.)
WoW, A different kind of MMORPG
I run a low end laptop, this game ran great for being a brand new game, I didn't need to adjust the settings. I could boost the default graphics up to high end and the game still ran very well. The scenery was awesome; huge rolling plains, that reminded you of a sunny day in africa, as far as you can see. On the flip side the night elf world is dark, and very dense, the lighting is awesome.
Put your life on hold, World of Warcraft has arrived
The situation: You've never played an MMORPG. Your question: Should I buy this game/is it worth the every-two-month fee? The answer: Get up and go get this game now. I've only played 3 games that held my attention for a year. And this is surely going to be one of them. Graphics: 10/10 The developers were definitely on target in this category. The environment is beautifully textured and mapped in a way that you don't notice the low polygon levels. This is good news for your video card. The mood definitely varies depending on where you are, and they've intertwined this into the game very well. Some may find that everything "looks like Disney made it". Well, that's what Blizzard wanted. The graphics truly immerse yourself into the World of Warcraft. The entire land is big. Think colossal multiplied by enormous multiplied by staggeringly huge.
World of Warcraft, World of Fun
From the moment the player begins playing, they soon realize the game has a very small learning curve, meaning even the most casual of gamers can learn the ropes in a matter of minutes. As a MMORPG ,the game features an immense quest system from which the player can pick and choose quests at his/her bidding.
Best MMORPG to date
Best MMORPG to date? Hell yes! Why you ask? Because this game gets so many things right that most MMORPGs have to wait for patches to fix right off the bat it's amazing. Everything about this game exceeds expectations and makes for an extremely addicting game. Expect to waste your life away at your computer monitor.
An Un-biased True Review
Prologue: Graphics and lag may vary on how new and fast your computer is. This is a non-biased review of the PC windows version of World of Warcraft. I will be referring to World of Warcraft as (WoW) throughout the review. GRAPHICS: 10/10 WoW puts you in a breathtaking massive world impossible to fully explore. The colors are vibrant and colorful, with massive buildings and structures everywhere. The detail in objects is amazing, and spell and fighting effects are great. Even the inside of structures are amazing, for instance, if you walk into a country house there are couches, tables, stairs, clocks, silverware, little nooks and crannies everywhere you look.
Best MMORPG I have had the pleasure of playing
I've been an avid MMORPG player since EQOA came out on PS2. Since then I have played nearly a dozen MMORPG's ranging from EQ to City of Heroes. I haven't enjoyed any of those games as much as I have been enjoying this one. Graphics: 10/10 Gorgeous. In a word that is WoW. It may not have the best technical stats of competitors, but it fits the game and the universe of Warcraft perfectly. I look at EQII and tell myself that in a few years it could look really nice. WoW has relatively low system requirements, and yet, I can't imagine how they could improve beyond what it already is. It looks like the World or Warcraft should look. You can't get any better than that.
WOW is WOW
Gameplay: There is always something to do in World of Warcraft so don't worry about not being able to anything in the game. Everyone (Everyone NPC that is) has a quest for you to do. The quests consist of fetch & catch, delivery and hunting. There are also castle raids and duels for those who like to pvp. You can even roleplay depending on the server you are on. (Roleplaying servers are the best.) Unfortunately, the gameplay suffers from lack of versatility in races or classes. Many of the racial traits don't work to well with depending on what class you get.
A Thing of Beauty and a Joy Forever!"
The graphics in this game are, quite simply, amazing. Your jaw will drop as you gaze out across the moonlit desert, or see the sun shining off the waters of a tranquil bay. Plus, the quality of the graphics is not dependent upon high-polygon models, but on expertly crafted textures. What this means is that even basic graphics cards can handle this game, still looking good with a decent frame rate!
